Hailing from the bloodthirsty planet of Vulcan, these demons are quite different when compared to the demons of Ceres or Mode. Rather than being creatures that respect their environment and are subservient to a multitude of Elemental Guards, Vulcanean demons are a rather strange race that originate from one singular creature - that would be the "Master" of the planet. The prior Master was a furry, winged eyeball with the ability to reproduce asexually. Because this Master was biologically female, almost every single one of her descendants came out female as well. The species originally manifested as teal cat-like creatures with absurdly long, thick claws and enormously powerful purple wings that would make hunting extremely easy. With golden eyes that had many pupils to see around Vulcan's naturally dark environment, and red sclera as a result of the way they were both created and their diet, the species is often spoken of in horror stories. Due to their pale skin and these aforementioned features, it's not surprising humans fear them greatly. Demons of Ceres are somewhat biased towards Vulcaneans and Modeans as well, however, thanks to the folklore surrounding them. While Vulcaneans can be a multitude of cat-like species, it's rare to come across males or any that deviated from the original Master...until Tsukuyomi was born. With her birth, a revolution occurred within the Vulcanean species, which culminated to the point where both Tsukuyomi and the original Master were killed one day in an attempt to overthrow Ceres and conquer it entirely.
Since the day both Yomi and Master died, Vulcan had been growing progressively weaker and weaker, with many of the "clones" dying off in what could only be described as swarms. The few that did survive were able to provide for themselves quite well if they depended on the corpses of their former brethren. However, times became tougher and tougher, to the point that new Vulcaneans were no longer coming into existence. Like this, the planet seemed to be on its last doomed leg...
One day, Dimenda came across Yoru and the stone of Yomi he possessed. When she told him we could rebirth him, he could hardly believe her. However, with one of Vulcan's few infants in her arms, the idea didn't seem nearly as ludicrous; and since she stated she wanted to bring Vulcan back to life, there was little reason to refuse her offer if Yomi was necessary, anyway. Deciding to trust her, Yoru could hardly hide his delight when Dimenda's words rung true, and Yomi was reborn right before his very eyes. Now that Tsukuyomi has taken over as the new Master, Vulcan is stronger for it and much more varied now that it's got Mikan, Yoru, Dimenda, Hakai and Yomi herself to repopulate it. An unusual phenomenon is occurring where these new Vulcaneans possess the ability to reproduce on their own...and that is the current state Vulcan finds itself in.
Unlike the demons of Ceres, Vulcaneans reproduce in a somewhat strange way. Though they do possess a pouch that is aesthetically similar to that of a Cerian around their lower body, it exists simply to impregnate other creatures, and to give them the ability to holds children if they can't already in the form of giving them internal pouches. In the case of Tsukuyomi, she's able to create a pouch and Mark someone else with her stinger-tentacle, which can produce both a numbing liquid and a special one that helps her create the aforementioned pouch once it's pierced through someone's belly. The tentacles she possesses can also be used for rather obvious methods of reproduction (as well as battle purposes, since they're very powerful and almost impossible to break or rip apart).
Tsukuyomi and a handful of the new Vulcaneans hold their reproductive organs in their stomachs, where the supposed bellybutton is actually the entrance to their egg pouches (of which there are usually 4 total). When a Vulcanean's eggs are fertilized, a small hole from one of the four egg pouches open up and deposits the egg into their womb. From there, the baby grows until the parent's body can no longer sustain them, and the fleshy bit that covers the womb bursts open to reveal the children. From there, they can either be removed or fed meat within their encasement, which (oddly enough) resembles the nest/honeycomb of a honeybee. Once the babies can no longer be nourished or protected in this manner, they either force their way out of the (thankfully easy to escape) stomach pouch, or their parent removes them themself. From there, baby Vulcanean demons grow at a very rapid pace, typically possessing all of their extra limbs and claws by this point. As large as toddlers at this stage, their cute looks don't last for too long once they start to grow like shoots...
It should be noted that once they've been impregnated, a Vulcanean cannot bear children for up to five years, since their remaining eggs are sealed away during the formation of a baby, and the resulting damage that occurs when those children burst free takes an immense amount of time to heal 100%.
While Vulcaneans can cross-breed with Cerians and Modeans (as they all possess the ability to create and hold Seeds), a hybrid from these species has never really occurred until Dimenda took over as the progenitor and Co-Master of Vulcan. It's unknown if Yomi can hold Cerian Seeds yet, however, as her structure is notably different from the majority of currently living demons.
While most Vulcaneans are currently biologically female, they look nothing like a Cerian or human female. In fact, their body structure is most heavily focused on their legs, arms and especially their paws, giving them a very androgynous (if not masculine) appearance most of the time. Consequently, it's easy to mistake them for genderless or male (until they're undressed, anyway). Their stomach pouch entrances look like any other belly button would, which actually can cause some confusion even amongst their own species as to where their "true" pouch is.
While some old Vulcaneans were able to adopt powerful, beast-like forms that essentially made them killing machines, the new Vulcaneans seem to be adapting in a different manner. It's currently unknown what their new forms could or will possibly look like...
It must be noted that Vulcaneans are at their strongest when they're whole. Once they take a bodily injury that penetrates or cuts the skin in any way, their healing factors take a very long time to activate. This can be especially problematic if they've been weakened to the point that their blood begins to eat away at their skin... Hence, while they're physically stronger than Cerian demons, they are at a disadvantage when it comes to continuous or long battles.
An odd feature of Vulcaneans is the luminosity of their fur. Due to their dark environment at their namesake planet, whenever the sun is up or they're around a light source, their fur glows to signify they're absorbing this light energy. At nighttime, when the entirety of Vulcan turns pitch black, their fur lights up in a beautiful luminescent glow, allowing those without properly developed night vision (or those that don't have their eye type) to be safely guided to a home or some place their can take shelter in until morning. So far, they only seem willing to use this ability to guide Dimenda and Yomi's Mates around, though this may change with time.
Vulcaneans do have the ability to use magic, but it's limited to Space, Thunder, Light and Dark Magicks (Shadow Magic rarely exists as its own seperate school in Vulcan and Mode). Their focus point is on ending battles quickly and decisively, rather than a Modean style of fighting for however long it takes to completely conquer a group or place, or the Cerian style of blasting things with magic until the threat is gone. Thusly, it is rare to see a Vulcanean use magic unless they're in a tight spot, or a rapid heal is direly needed.
A Vulcanean cannot live without a "Master" to guide them and give them strength in times of weakness or need. Fortunately for them, their Masters can be their Mate as well. Even Tsukuyomi refers to Dimenda, Hakai, Yoru, Mikan and Dargatta as "Masters", some for the fact that they're linked to her true Masters (Yoru and Dimenda), and others because she's both used to serving under a Master and because she desires/needs one (in this case, she claimed Yoru as her "Master Mate", and Dimenda as her "Absolute Master").
