The guy's a nutcase.
Nah, I kidd, Woulan is a P.O.C officer who's finding out a few things for himself. He was told by a girl once that he hated the P.O.C, and it occurred to him that he didn't recall joining the soldiers in the first place. He demanded that his commanding officer tell him what it was about but was spoken down to and sent back to the front lines with the other soldiers.
Woulan's not the nicest guy because he has sudden mood swings, but he's a very skilled fighter. As a soldier he had to stay awake 24-7 so he was a bit more looney than the others and yet he was the one to figure some things out. He can hardly remember any of his past due to the torture methods the soldiers used to convert people. He knows the past he remembers is a lie for the most part, but he still questions parts of it.
Bleak pasts are usually a hint toward the soldier that they have been forced to forget what's real and given a half-assed story to go on.
Due to his suspiciouns and how hard it was to break him, Woulan was to be used for an escape plan. The soldiers implanted a bomb on his side near his abdomen and kept the activation key with them in case he acted out of line or the battle got tough. They hadn't pressed it though, even when he got hostile, because he was a very good fighter.
One soldier did attempt to use it once when he noticed Woulan's suspiciouns of them, but the button didn't do anything. Woulan escaped before anyone could fix the button and went off on his own to see what more he could find out.
