Laika

Orphaned at a young age when her mother died and passed on her Sorceress Magic to her, and her father chased her out after finding out about her powers, Laika is a lonely child who found herself being taken in by the Mystic court, half in the hopes of keeping her from harming anyone (and teaching her how to use her powers safely), and half in the hopes that she could act as an ambassador between the humans and Mystics. Unfortunately, due to her immense power and the lack of control she's had over it in the past, and the fact that humans fear her rather than respect her, it seems the potential to form mutual relationships between humans and Mystics (outside of the scientific community on Ceres) may not go well. As such, she was assigned a guardian in the form of Nova, and was allowed to visit the acres and live there when she asked and was given the opportunity to do so.

While she's rather young, at the tender age of 7, Laika has already gone through many tutors, teachers and instructors of all shapes, sizes and kinds. She's found more solace in her textbooks than she has in the people that surround her, although she did grow to have something of a crush for her fencing instructor, Gustave, before she accidentally wound up petrifying his arm solid. Since then, she's maintained a distance between herself and other being who either could not resist her magic, or who were at risk of being targeted by the sentient energy. Training with Rose and Black-bell has helped her gain the confidence and calmness she needed in order to learn how to reverse the petrifying effects of her magic, and also allowed her to graduate with the title of the Cockatrice Sorceress. She's quite happy about this develop, and hopes to get even better with her magic as time goes onwards.

After being saved from a wild cat by Immunità, Laika began to grow attracted to him and crushed over him for multiple reasons, finding him rather admirable, cute and pleasantly fluffy. Spurred on by his kind and accepting ways, Laika eventually hatched a plan in order to get closer to him without losing her bravado, and took a potion that would change her into an adult for a night (unless her affection was reciprocated, in which case it would become permanent). Fortunately for Laika, her confession went well, and she became partners with Immunità while retaining her adult form, and even gaining a companion dragon in the form of Lien thanks to one of Immunità's feathers and power. She looks forward to living with Immunità and Lien, and is eager to see what the future holds in store for them.
