Kiro

Kiro is a travelling magician. He can't resist helping people, although sometimes his help was most certainly not wanted. He has an intricate design tattooed on his left shoulder, which is a 'curse' according to Kiro. It grants him powerful magic, and the ability to learn any type of magic. As a drawback, any magic he uses is physically painful for him, so if he's been using lots of magic he's more likely to snap at someone. His body is constantly building up his magical energy, and if Kiro does not use magic for about a month, his body will expel the energy in an uncontrolled magical explosion.

He has had this curse since he was 10, and ever since Kiro has been trying to find a way to get rid of it.

At one point, while in a dangerous encounter with an out-of-control golem, a small red kit of some sort appeared and attacked the golem. Of course, the golem easily swatted it away and Kiro saved the kit from being crushed to death. Ever since this incident the kit, Nui, has followed Kiro around. Kiro doesn't understand why she does this, but in truth Nui is a being made of pure magic and was unintentionally summoned as a familiar to Kiro. Due to this, Kiro can hear Nui's voice, but he has yet to realize others can't hear her.
