Meltis are a unique race of mostly-magic based beings that take on tall and skinny to tall and big individuals that are rather powerful when it comes to the magic department. What Meltis stand out most for is the fact that their stats are usually quite healthy. Every Meltis has a weak point that, when exposed, takes some time to be covered again. However, circumstances of exposing weak points for most vary according to the time of the day. At dawn a weak point can be exposed by ambushing a Meltis. During the morning a weak point can be exposed by making a Meltis feel brave. When afternoon arrives putting a Meltis into a defensive posture will allow exposure of a weak point. Come dusk, making them overconfident will allow a weak point to be exposed. Lastly, at night, getting them into an offensive position will open their weak point to attacks. One must know where a Meltis's weak point lies as they will not glow or show any signs when they can be exposed. Some Meltis do not follow this pattern and have a special way of exposing their weak points. One thing is consistent about Meltis, the location of their weak points. Meltis weak points can be the head, left arm, right arm, right hand, left hand, chest, gut, crotch, rear, left thigh, right thigh, left foot and right foot. Back is also a possibility, but is more uncommon compared to the others. There is only one exception that does not have these weak points ...
Appearance
Meltis are usually sturdy in build. They have great leg structure and wide feet for superior stability. They have bigger legs for good movement ability. As a result of their legs, they have the hips necessary to create a smooth shape for the legs. Their cores are generally slim for the most part, since their legs contain most of the weight, though they do start to widen towards the sholders. Females chest size varies, and determining values could be element or orientation, which the body adapts to. The same rule goes for males with their chest muscles. Meltis have a strong neck, usually greater muscle mass. There's little difference between male and female neck muscle sizes, but the male usually has slightly larger muscle mass. Head shapes are the same, which is usually a medium-long sized face. Hair length is greatly determined by gender. Males usually have short hair, females have hair that extends down to their shoulders, with some variation. Eye colour is usually determined by element. Uncommonly, they may obtain a different colour. In rare cases, one eye may adopt a different colour compared to the other.
Behaviour
With a few exceptions, Meltis behave in a rather balanced manor. There is a natural community structure within a collection of Meltis, but individual ones adopt an independent behaviour. This means that they can build a colony in groups and a shelter as an individual. Meltis can live both a civil and a remote life. They have the mindset to perform both, even if they're not taught it, however, they will develop the skills faster with teaching. Meltis are willing to interact with other species. Their social orientation towards other species varies from passive (where you would have to start a conversation) to approach (where they will initiate a chat with you). It is rare for a Meltis to take an aggressive approach to another species, unless the species has attacked their kind before or if they have heard news of an attack on their kind. Meltis can speak English when they are required to or are willing to communicate with someone possessing the language.
Climate
Meltis are not native to the Overworld, they originate from Seenia, the main planet of the Sinia Galaxy. Element is a strong factor on where Meltis live. Ice elementals typically live in the extreme North and patchy areas of the far South. The cold areas in the South of Seenia tend to be in selective areas due to wind current. Fire elementals tend to stick to hot areas, which tend to change every few years, so they tend to pack up and migrate as a group, individuals may or may not migrate, depending on the temperature change degree. Dark elementals love to stick to hazardous places, preferably areas that receive little sunlight or have plenty of shade. Light elementals love light and will go to areas that have lots of sun, but not to any area that's too dry. They will sleep with some form of light in their room or area. Electrical elementals will often stick to areas where there's high energy exchange rates, like power centres and energy collectors. This is usually so they can discharge, should they build too much energy. It is also so they can recharge, in the rare case that they are running out of energy. Other elementals prefer temperate or tropical areas. Overall, Meltis are found in patchy areas, whether grouped or individual.
Reproduction
Meltis males start searching for a mate every few years, usually in the spring, though the other seasons are possible as well. They will track females by scent, and if they detect a female nearby, they will start to show off, usually making soothing humming. This humming is low frequency, so it travels far. Of course, if another male picks up on this, that male may attempt to nudge the male making the call. Males usually nudge to get a visible position so the female is more likely to find them. Females make a lovely humming sound as well, it's higher pitched, but sounds mystical. Females may also initiate the search for a desirable male. If a female hears another female's humming call, they will either take no action, push the humming female over or potentially fight. The most common action is no action. It is uncommon for Meltis to fight, but females are more likely to fight in the search for a mate. When Meltis have found their mate, they usually nuzzle heads a bunch to scent each other, as their scents come from the root of their scalp. There's plenty of cuddling at the start of a relationship. Mating will occur when the optimal temperature is present for one hour or longer. Females usually carry the baby for just over one month before giving birth to the live offspring. They have one to two offspring. Nursing occurs for a week, training occurs for two weeks, and after an additional week, the female either chooses to leave the mate and leave the child independant or stays with the mate. If the female stays with the mate, she may or may not choose to send the child to the wild as independant. If she does not, they are likely to become a group.
