New character template variations have been added and the main template has been changed to the primary variation. Here's a peek at the new templates:
Primary
The Primary character template variation will be replacing the default template. You may notice that a few new sections have been added. Secondary elements are now supported on templates. A section for species has been added. Height and Weight are new additions as well and help with height comparisons in RP scenarios. Elemental strengths have also been added for any characters that have personal strong against elements. These sections will be added to any existing primary species sometime in December.
Secondary
The secondary character template variation will be applied to any characters marked as secondary. Instead of 11.5 rows things are streamlined down to 7 rows. Even with the streamlining you'll notice that species, height and weight made their way into this template. Combat oriented factors were cut since secondary characters don't typically take part in battles. You may notice that social relations and physical properties have been grouped in the template. This template will be rolled out sometime in December after the primary template.
Trimary
Do you have a one time or few time character who's only to be there for a short period of time. Well this well streamlined template only has 3.5 rows and is designed with quick data in mind. Focusing on appearance and a touch of friendship should be all you need to get your tertiary to the RP with little issue. While there is rollout planned for this template as well, only characters marked as Tertiary will have this template applied to them. As with secondary, any properties that no longer exist in this template from the old template will be marked (depreciated), meaning that information will eventually be removed.
Guideline Updated
I have updated the guideline page to reflect the changes and show you what each template starts out as, along with the example. As the page is a decent size, I have added a jump to list at the top. The new properties have also been added to the property list so you can check how to fill out these new sections.
Rollout Plans
The new character templates will be rolling out sometime in December. At this time it should be done before Christmas, but no earlier than the start of December. The Primary Template will be rolled out first. Rollout may take a bit as there is some reordering of the tables that has to occur. Rollout will start with SLdr. Cody's characters then go down in the order of the MUC list. Secondary rollout will start shortly after Primary. It shouldn't take as long as there's not as many secondaries, but many tables will have bits of data that will have to be marked for depreciation as well. Depreciated information will not be removed until January, so you'll have time to relocate it. Trimary Rollout will occur after Secondary. There's very few pages that will be involved with this part of rollout as there are very few characters that are marked Trimary.
I will post here again when a deployment date is known and nearing. Feel free to ask questions if you are uncertain about the templates.
