Varian

Originally a very ruthless Guard when it came to personal attacks, Varian has been served a big slice of humble pie in his new life by being forced to live in a weak, childish body. Having died in battle previously, he's obsessed with getting revenge on the ones who defeated him, though he often keeps this plan of his hidden away.

When Takuto and Crysta brought him back to life, he was initially determined to get right to his goal. However, in light of his weak body, he has decided to travel with Crysta and her family for now, especially after he realized they were caring for Aika.

Since he doesn't want to be at a disadvantage, he acts kind in front of Crysta and sometimes Takuto, though he is a bit too quick to snap if his wishes are ignored. Since he was a very reclusive bookworm in his past life, he's thusly very sensitive to affectionate actions or words, with sensitive nerves to boot. This makes him somewhat weak to Crysta, who is very affectionate with him.

With the addition of a child in his life (Seirai), Varian is becoming slightly warmer in terms of personality. However, he still has the strong tendency to be frigid.

He regards Aika neutrally, since they were Battle Partners in her previous life. In order to avoid problems, he doesn't bring any of their shared experiences up to Aika at all. However, he did name his child after the Luck Guard's Guardian, a trusted friend of his. Hopefully, this doesn't trigger any of Aika's memories...
