Shadow Prince

The Shadow Prince is a historical figure in Fate's Realm. From a very young age, he was forcibly given a powerful energy that his vessel could hardly contain so the people could keep what remained of their Prince alive. The Shadow Prince was put into power and they attempted to become an influence on him so they could use his position to their benefit... but he was not easy to control so in the end, he was a solo leader.

No one looks up to the Prince, as he rules using power and kills people without much of a second thought for defying him. This pattern has gone on for countless years to the point where it has become common knowledge to avoid the Prince or fight to the death.

The Shadow Prince was defeated once before... but was revived when some of the energy he'd been containing became problematic for someone else. The energy was placed back into his vessel and he was back to ruling over a majority of the realm in due time.

After giving away the rather fond memories the energy had gained while he was in his death-like state to benefit those who revived him, the Prince returned to his castle to return to living in solitude...

But for some reason, one person from the group he'd rewarded could not let that be the end of the story.

Without the Prince knowing, a member of the group he'd helped snuck a fragment into a piece of fruit and tricked him into consuming it. The fragment hid away within him for a long while before she climbed out from within him in search of food. Needless to say, the Prince was confused and gave her food and the name 'Sangria' so she could last long enough to be returned to wherever she had come from.

Since then, the fragment has refused to leave him. The Shadow Prince now seeks to change this fragment's mind so he can not only return to living in solitude but also so the innocent neko won't be killed by the energy he's stuck containing.

The dangerous energy was removed by the Sun Deity but he still worries that he'll cause his new allies harm.
