Swift is the eldest of a group of six known as Shadow Spirits, and is the proudest of the six. Formerly ruling as a king over a kingdom of Shadow Walker cats, he was one day stabbed in the back by his best friend after they had won a fairly difficult war, and died of his injuries the purifying knife inflicted upon him, as well as the scars he had retained from the battle prior. Ever since then, Swift has been chained down by his descendants, and has been forced to reside within the vessels of his kin so that they may use his restrained powers for their own benefit. So saying, a terrible reign settled for a few decades as a result of these actions. Managing to find a loophole, Swift managed to force a clause upon the foolish cats that took his power for their own; the heirs that were destined to inherit his spirit were to be ruled over by beings they formed pacts with, known as Wishmasters centuries later. While this curbed the would-be usurpers that would try to steal his spirit for their own, this also began it's own form of torment for both himself and his future heirs...
Centuries down the line, as the lineage of the former foolhardy cats began to dwindle down and eventually became limited to two family lines, Swift had lost all memories of his former lives, save for a select few he held close to his heart. Already battered by eons of abuse, both his own and the abuse inflicted to his heirs' vessels, Swift one day found himself within the body of a small, wolf/panther hybrid child named Siriki... From there, his luck took an unexpected fortunate turn, and he began to come out of his jaded shell little by little. Nowadays, Swift can be very brash, snarky and even downright caustic to others. However, he has an extreme loyalty for those he's gotten close to, even knowing that he may someday simply be forced into another vessel's body once more...
Originally, Swift didn't care at all about Rikiya, having already gotten used to the treatment Sorose received from Vitali over the years (that being, it wasn't very good at all). He treated him as a means-end vessel, taking advantage of him whenever he could and sometimes deceiving others by acting as if he were Rikiya himself. While his intentions were initially selfish (to the point that he would only ask for help if he had no other option), he eventually came to care for his vessel and the family they had gained, and began to become much more mature and respectful of those around him. Though, he'll still snark if he feels someone is being factitious, or if he's just in the mood to troll somebody.
While he can be prideful, he's not as bad about it as Stealth is. Of the six siblings, Swift is the fast of them all, and was morphed into the body of a scaled wyvern throughout his years of servitude.
Originally, Swift was an Egyptian cat and went by the name Bastet. This small detail has been lost to him, as the trial he was involved with hinted at (considering he took on a cat-like form that was different than the form he actually inhabited originally). His title, when he was king, was The Warmonger, due to his love of battles and thrilling battles (though, he did care for his troops, odd as it might've seemed).
Thanks to Black-bell and Kaskuri, Swift regained his original vessel, that of the Egyptian nekomata Bastet, on September 30. Immensely happy at regaining his original body back, Swift has become the destined Clan Leader of the Clan of Death, and looks forward to taking the throne again when winter comes along.
