Nezu

One of the original four heroes involved in the Sorceress Revolt in Chounen, Nezu is a rather odd individual. Though he desires to be someone cool, collected and powerful enough to protect his loved ones, in reality, he's often shy, cold or unsure of himself outside of training. While he's within training with his 5-Star Lance (a lance with 5 weapon potentials total in it, including a Shuumerang (Shuriken + Boomerang combo that can be ejected with the flip of a switch), a sword tip, a lance tip and an axe tip when the Shumerang is set into the correct 'mode'), he often zones out and simply follows whatever movement his body follows naturally. Though initially a neutral force when he first met Kage, he has since become Kage's kouhai and a beloved friend, both before and after his death.

Nezu is a snowy Hazukane, meaning he has the fluffy ears and stubby tail his mouse-like race is well known for (the plains Hazukane has a sharp pair of ears and a 'dino snout' in comparison; snowy ones have been described as walking fluffy marshmallows before). He also possesses the unique Thunder/Ice dual typage his species is known for, and is quite a small teenager. While he dislikes his height, he's found unusually helpful uses for it (such as being able to sneak into spots others can't). An unusual ability that Nezu possesses is the ability to visit others' dreams, making him one of the first Dreamwalkers to exist. Unfortunately for Nezu, if he's caught in a nightmare while he visits a sleeping person, both his physical and mental state will take extreme damage. Nezu is prone to a disease known only as 'eye explosion syndrome', where his left eye will flash red when he's under extreme stress (and he stresses out often). If his stress is allowed to build up without compensation, his eye will eventually turn entirely red, and if left untreated from there, will explode from the force placed on it. 9 times out of 10, this will kill the person who has this disease, and is how Nezu died early. It's notable that the colour of his blood and that that his eye turns into is unrelated (as he has blue blood).

Nezu is one of the first who was able to use the Windmill ability with his lance, and is quite good at deflecting projectiles or magic blasts with it. He will take extreme damage from Rock or Ground-based attacks, however, even if he Windmills.

After a rather harrowing experience, and after growing closer to Phenelope, Nezu was able to become Official with her and has happily taken Phenelope along with him whenever he went on a new adventure or was able to rent a boat to go sailing. When their family grew with the addition of an abandoned Water Mystic known as Narusu, Nezu felt he couldn't be happier. Currently, he plans to surprise Phenelope in some way...~
