While the city itself is only a portion of the skies in Siryen, it and the entire area its within are known as the Pylori Skies (though it's rarely referred to as such by the residents, as the city is the main hub of Siryen). It's here where all kinds of dragons, wyverns, manaketes, angels and even Ciel Mystics originate from, though a majority of them explore and travel all over the world in order to bring back treasures to trade or horde (given the habits of the dragons here). The city itself is rather prosperous, with trading merchants and festivals occurring quite often. The place enjoys its unique splendour and style rather successfully, since the place is rather infamous as a tourist location too. While there is an underground cave within the floating island, it's often filled with precious goods (such as gemstones or gold) and can only really be accessed by small beings, since the only entryway is quite small itself. Bat-like beings like to live there too, as do the Ciel Mystics (who dislike the strong sunlight that often wafts into the main plaza of the city).
To get here, one needs to ride the strong air currents to get to the floating island, even if one is able to fly, since it's far too high or too far for anyone to normally reach the spot before tiring out. The air currents also act as a safety net for the younger or flightless citizens, since it will catch lightweight or flightless beings and keep them rolling on the spot until someone comes to save them, giving them quite a lot of time to do so.
The city is one of the few places where ancient magic (specifically Candy Magic) has left a memento in the form of a floating cotton candy-cloud filled with candy-filled vines. It also has odd treats such as millet spray, attracting quite a lot of bird species to the place too (especially cockatiels).
