Magic Bonds

NOT to be confused with Soul Bonds, which do not involve magical bodies or Lingering Magic.

Magic bonds are the connection of one's magical energy or flow with another's magical body. Beings with a high concentration of magic often utilize such bonds. Individuals with a magic concentration from 45% or higher may be subject to the effects of magic bonds. Magic Bonds are entirely incompatible if magic concentration is under 30%. There are numerous types of magical bonds that can form. Magic bonds are a way of one magic body declaring the other compatible. Magical interaction is another way of putting this. Magic bonds are formed passively, without the knowledge of each other, so in a way, some magic bonds, if just starting, are difficult to identify. Since magic bonds are formed from one's magic declaring another's compatible, the user cannot control who the magic bond forms with. Magic bonds alone do not provide many direct benefits. It is up to the user to develop technology, skills and strategies that utilize such a bond. Magic bonds are also often pointed out to make special functions such as fusion far more likely to succeed, if the bond is full. It is not yet known whether Triple Bonds are compatible with fusion.

Single Bond - Magic interacts with another individual but their magic does not interact in return. Also known as a one-sided bond by some.

Full Bond - An interaction of magics between two individuals. This is also returned by the other. Often pointed out as a sign of compatibility. To Puremagi, this often indicates the person they wish to be with.

Fragmented - An interaction of magics towards an individual, whose magic interacts with another individual. This type of bond is rare due to magic's ability to form bonds between compatible persons.

Tri-Split - An interaction of magics from one individual towards two other individuals. Extremely rare due to magic's tendency to select only one other compatible person.

Tri-Uniform - An interaction of magics between three individuals. This is where magics interact with one another, but not in return for anyone. To some, this is known as a Love Triangle.

Full-Single - An interaction of magics between three individuals. This is where two magics interact with a return from each other and another individual's magic interacts with one other, but does not get any return interaction.

Full-Duo - An interaction of magics between three individuals. This is where two magics interact with a return from each other and another individual's magic interacts with both others, but does not get any return interaction.

Dual Bond - An interaction of magics between three individuals. This is where two magics interact with a return from each other and a third individual's magic interacts with one other with a return.

Full-Third - An interaction of magics between three individuals. This is where two magics interact with a return from each other and another individual's magic interacts with both others, they also get return interaction from one individual.

Triple Bond - An interaction of magics between three individuals. This is when all magics return to each other. This type of bond is extremely rare. There are only four such bonds known in Sector Dome.

There are no known cases of magics forming bonds that involve more than three individuals.
